Service Description

This is a 8 session course of approximately 2 hours each, please allow up to 15 minutes of time after the sessions as due to the unpredictable nature of roleplay, sessions may last a little longer. This course introduces beginners to the full 2024 version of Dungeons and Dragons whilst simplifying character building. This allows players to learn the full D&D version, in a less overwhelming manner. The course will begin by taking participants through the rules, and basics of D&D, before being supported to choose options to build their own playable character. They will then, for the rest of the course, take this character on a specifically designed tutorial campaign, consisting of an adventure, with a group of peers. This course focuses on encouraging and enhancing creative thinking/writing, as well as building confidence, problem solving, and team building/cooperative skills. This course will have roleplay in each session, however due to the nature of D&D, some amount of learning the game before playing fully is needed. If your child is younger, or you feel your child would like to jump straight into a table top role play game, you may wish to see if our Adventure Kids intro course is more suited to them. There will be a maximum of 6 players in this course. Players will need Web access on a desktop or laptop with microphone installed. Two intro videos (less than 10 minutes in total) will be linked in your booking email to watch before the course begins, these introduce some of the rules, allowing more time in session 1 for questions and character building. A grown-up may be needed to assist players in setting up, and must remain in earshot at all times. They will also need a pencil, and ability to print a character sheet, or be able to modify and save a PDF version (please contact us if this is likely to be a concern). Please note: Dungeons and Dragons does include role play combat with fantasy creatures. Whilst we will tailor this content to be age appropriate in terms of detail, by booking you are confirming that you are happy for your child to partake in this aspect of the game.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel, please notify us at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the session, or first session for course bookings.
